Why enhance the paint before coating it

A ceramic coating seals in whatever is underneath it. Put one over swirled, dull paint and you have locked the swirls in for years. The enhancement stage polishes the clear coat first, so what gets sealed is paint that already looks better. It is the difference between protecting the finish you have and protecting a finish worth keeping.

What is the difference between paint enhancement and paint correction?

Enhancement is a single polishing stage that lifts gloss and reduces light swirls. Correction is a multi-stage process aimed at removing as much defect as the clear coat allows. Our menu prices enhancement, bundled with ceramic protection. Heavier correction is quoted after we look at the paint, because it genuinely cannot be priced off a list.

Will this remove every scratch?

No, and anyone promising that is guessing. A one-step enhancement reduces light swirls and lifts gloss. If a scratch has gone through the clear coat into the base coat, polishing cannot bring it back, and we will tell you so rather than charge you to try.

What causes swirl marks?

Almost always washing. Automatic car washes, dirty wash mitts and drying with the wrong towel drag grit across the paint and leave fine circular scratches that show up in direct light.

Should I enhance the paint before a ceramic coating?

Generally yes, and that is exactly why these are sold together. A coating seals in whatever is underneath it, so improving first means you lock in better paint rather than locking in the swirls.
